Inspired by his album All the Fun of the Fair, David Essex plays funfair owner Levi Lee, recently widowed and father of a rebellious teenage son. Like father like son, they’ll take you for a ride. But danger and mysticism lurk in the future, as predicted by the gypsy fortune teller who is in love with Levi. We arrive in Cardiff to meet our guide who will join the coach and tell us all about Cardiff and take us to Cardiff Bay where there will be time to purchase coffee and see the Theatre and Norwegian church. We take the coach to the city centre where there will be time to browse and purchase lunch before we move on to the Valleys and Merthry Tydfil where the guide will leave us. After a fascinating day, we head back to the Midlands, arriving at approx 18.30 hours.

The gardens at Barnsdale in Rutland were built by Britain’s best loved Television gardener Geoff Hamilton over several years for BBC TV Gardeners’ World programme and various other BBC specials. Since Geoff’s death in 1996, his gardens have been open to the public and include a nursery of choice and unusual plants, mainly propagated from the gardens. In the afternoon we conclude our day with a cruise on the beautiful Rutland Water and afternoon tea.
